It’s early Easter morning and we are not searching for eggs, baskets of chocolate or going to church. We, Lucy and I, are getting out the door to walk Smudge over to the CDT shuttle. Chocolate does should good!
The southern CDT terminus is south of Lordsburg, New Mexico, a three hour 4WD ride provided by the CDT Association volunteer shuttle on the Mexico-New Mexico border. Smudge begins her walk through the extremely hot Chihuahua Desert.
And as Smudge walks the CDT north, so too does my journey begin.
